FRANKLIN PRE-RELEASE CENTER

Franklin Pre-Release Center (FPRC) is in Columbus, Ohio and houses 7 -1 0 of the 4 Paws dogs at any given time. Always open to have our expectant moms or litters of puppies has been a great asset to us. We have had dogs at Franklin Pre-Release for seven years and the women have done a great job with the dogs. With the high turnover the prison serves as a puppy raising base as well as a great place for the dogs to receive some R and R as they await adoption. They have also helped many 4 Paws dogs to recover after injury or surgery!  Meet some of the inmates and dogs participating in the FPRC 4 Paws Mission Pawsible Prison program.........

ANNIE MADISON TOO
Annie was born 1-1-2007 and she is 10 months old. She is a Redbone Coonhound mix with a docked tail (Why? We have no idea - someone stupid thought she would look better long before she came to 4 Paws <sigh>). Annie is the sweetest girl. She is very gentle and quite loving. The foster home she was in for awhile reported her to be housebroken and she did very well in our prison program. Annie is a good size dog not too big, maybe 55 pounds. Look at that sweet, kind face. Don't ya just want to love on her? She has a very big heart and a whole lot of friendship to share! Madison is an awesome Golden Retriever Mix who found herself victim of a human phenomenon called divorce. When her family split, no one had room for Madison and she found herself tied to a dog house outside day in and day out, rain, snow, there she sat. Lucky for Madison a caring 4 Paws staff would not stand for it and asked the owner to please allow her to take her to find a new home. Madison will soon go to spend her days beside a gentleman who is confined to a wheelchair, alone at home all day and needs a companion to keep him company.
 

HOBO

NESSA
This is Hobo. He is a Standard Poodle who was born 7-5-2006. Hobo is in our breeding program and is looking for a home within a reasonable driving distance of 4 Paws. When you take on a 4 Paws breeding dog, the dog lives in your home their entire life.  He becomes a member of your family and you care for him as you would a pet dog. Nessa is one of the last litter born to MJ and Hobo on 1-18-2008. Nessa is a member of this Irish litter and is a female Goldendoodle.
SHAMROCK DOOLEY

MJ and Hobo's pups are venturing out in the world. Shamrock is one of the last litter born to MJ and Hobo on 1-18-2008. Shamrock is a member of this Irish litter and is a male Goldendoodle. Shamrock was the first puppy named because he was uniquely, born green. Yes, indeed, really! He was born very, very green.
